Have you had COVID-19 and are still experiencing the long-term effects or “long covid”?

You are not alone as research shows that 1 in 10 patients testing positive for COVID-19 exhibit symptoms for a period of 12 weeks or longer*. We can help you to manage these long-term symptoms and improve how you feel.
Our Covid Rehabilitation for an Active Life (CORAL) course has been developed by our experienced therapists for people who are experiencing the longer-term symptoms associated with the virus; fatigue, lethargy, brain fog, activity-related breathlessness, general weakness and anxiety. We are currently inviting a small number of people who are experiencing these symptoms to assist in a preliminary programme at a reduced cost.
The aim of the course is to help you to manage your symptoms and improve your overall wellbeing and quality of life so you can get back to doing the things you love.

The course will be made up of 9 online sessions:

  • A 90-minute pre-assessment with an experienced clinician.

  • CORAL has been designed with you in mind, so we will listen to your needs and tailor the programme to suit you and your goals

  • Seven 90-minute weekly structured group sessions including progressive exercise, fatigue management, sleep, breathing techniques, dietary advice and strategies that may help with cognitive issues such as poor short-term memory. The final session will focus on strategies to help you develop future resilience and continued recovery

  • A post-course review by your clinician [at the Centre] to enable constructive feedback for our future courses and to support your planning for further recovery strategies.

The course has been designed by the specialist clinicians at the Chilterns MS Centre, in collaboration with experts in cardiac rehab, fatigue and self-management, as many of the lingering symptoms experienced by those recovering from Covid-19 mimic similar symptoms of MS.
